THESE ARE SOME OF THE AUCTION ITEMS

 

A boxed set of 24 transit fare tokens depicting the 23 sports which were competed for at the Olympic Games of 1984 in Los Angeles. The final token represents the universal spirit of the Games. The tokens were designed by the noted numismatic artist N Neil Harris.

“Winged Victory” vignette by Harry Eccleston OBE used on the front of the £5 note issued from 1971 by The Bank of England, and is from their museum edition. The symbol was one of the military prowess during the Peninsular War. Signed in 1989 by Andrew Bailiey, the Chief Cashier of the Bank of England, and printed by Westerham Press.
