Division 1

 

Comfortable wins by the top teams left Division 1 unaltered. Ryde Tigers’ 7-3 defeat of Havenstreet provided the best match.

 

Division 2

 

This division produced some stirring matches, although Rookley HB continue to head the table, now 12 points ahead after vanquishing Vics C by 8-2.

 

Promoted Ventmen narrowly beat Havenstreet B 6-4. Saints A faltered, as they dropped points to bottom team Ryde Rooks. John Worley won 3 beating Brian Voller, a rare feat. CPC Panthers missed their chance to go second as they too were held to a draw by Ryde Lions for whom Martin Garnett won 3. John Moyse was the hero of CPC Stooges’ unexpected win against Ryde Cheetahs, delivering a notable hat-trick.

 

30 Up

 

This again produced excitement. Saints B held on to the top spot after a 16-14 win against Ryde Terminators. CPC Hawks moved into second place with a 22-8 victory against Ventvets. Andy Lewis produced a 9-0 scoreline for the winners.

 

Ryde Ravens won 18-12 against CPC Dynamos but needed an even bigger score to escape fourth place. They remain in the hunt with an outside chance.
