RYDE TABLE TENNIS CLUB
Ryde Table Tennis Club is the oldest club on the Isle of Wight, having been formed in 1936.
The first venue used by the club was the Oddfellows Hall in Union Street, Ryde, between 1936 and WW2. We then moved to the York Hotel, and then the Buffalo Lodge in High Street until 1963. The Vectis Hall in Melville Street was the next location, and was used up until 1992, when we moved to the ATC Hall in St John’s Wood Road.
We then moved to the Westridge Leisure Centre, and on the upper floor 3 tables were used from 1992 to 1996. Finally we moved to the Carl Prean Centre (CPC) in Ashey Road, Ryde in 1996 when the centre was opened.
Our plans are to move back to a Ryde venue, to encourage youngsters in the Ryde catchement area to more easily get to a club to start their table tennis career - as the CPC is not ideal for those without transport.
A number of options are available to us, at the moment the committee are deciding on the best path to take, and more information will be given later in the year.

Ryde Table Tennis Club participated in the new 1200 Strong Voluntary & Community Fayre on Saturday 19th September from 10 am - 4pm in the beautiful grounds of Brading Roman Villa.
We set up in one of the large marquees with one table and our Table Tennis Robot, and this proved to be a huge success, attracting overwhelming numbers at times to take part.
A big thank you to our members Alex & Pauline Rorke, Martin Dove, Bert Paice, Roger Nevell and Dean Hume, who helped out on this great day.
