Club Meetings

The club holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month (unless the Monday falls into Holy Week, when it is either the 3rd Tuesday or 4th Monday). The meetings are held at St Paul's Hall, Boxley Road, Maidstone, and start at 7pm till about 10pm.

Our meetings usually consist of chat and browsing dealer's stock until 7:45pm, when the main business of the evening commences. The minutes of the previous meeting are read, and new announcements made. Our presenter for the evening then takes the floor until about 9:15pm, and then more chat and buying until the end of the evening. Refreshments are served during the evening.

Our Vice-Chairman Tony Davis and Committee Member Mary Wheeler generally bring their stock of Postcards and ephemera. Entrance to the first meeting is FREE, and we hope to entice you to become a member for a very reasonable annual fee. Please telephone the Secretary Ron Kemp on 01622 843536 for further details.

Membership of the Club

We welcome new members to the club, where the annual subscription is £8 per annum. New members are always made very welcome, and soon settle in to the malicious gossip and heated debates that are so popular in the club. Seriously though - this is a happy club where the members have a wide range of interests and collecting habits, all of whom have a story or two to tell!

Treasurer Richard Wheeler will be pleased to accept your membership and issue you with our combined programme and membership card.

Committee Members - Mary Wheeler, David Rawlins and Julie Lester

Annual Competition and Raffle - Mary Wheeler; Refreshments - Julie Lester.

Fairs

Secretary Ron Kemp arranges the fairs on behalf of the club, and if you wish to book a table, then please contact him on 01622 843536 for details.

This year (2024), we will be following a similar format to previous years.

Our Evening Fair will be held on Monday 20th May at St Paul's Hall in Boxley Road, and last year we attracted approximately 100 keen postcard buyers to search through the stock of 7 dealers. During the evening, the Bernard Mundel trophy competition will take place; last year top prize was won by Richard Wheeler with his entry entitled 'Ceylon.' For further details of the competition click here.

The All Day Fair will be held on Saturday 19th October, at the Grove Green Community Hall, Grove Green (near Tesco) from 9:30am till 3pm. Last year saw 10 dealers offer their postcards and ephemera to a fair crowd of buyers, with many a bargain offered!
